Chiropractor
Lee Stafford D.C.
Dr. Lee Stafford is a local native of Greensboro, NC. His family has deep roots and connections to the local and surrounding communities of Greensboro, Jamestown, High Point and Winston-Salem. Growing up he attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, NC.
After graduating from Wesleyan Christian Academy, he pursued his dream of playing collegiate soccer and earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While at UNC-Charlotte he married his high school sweetheart, Christine Stafford in June of 2009. After graduating from UNC-Charlotte in 2012, he continued his education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with post-graduate work in organic chemistry, biochemistry and genetics. Dr. Stafford received his professional degree, Doctor of Chiropractic, from Life University in Marietta, GA, June 2018. He graduated with professional honors as a Cum Laude and Presidential Scholar.
Dr. Stafford was inspired to be a chiropractor at a young age. His parents chose to take him to a Chiropractor at the age of five years old, after falling off a horse and landing on his head. He complained of neck pain, left shoulder pain and headaches for several weeks following the incident. His parents took him to the pediatrician, who diagnosed with a cervical sprain/strain injuries. He still complained of cervical pain, reduced neck motion and headaches, so his parents decided to take him to a family friend and local chiropractor, Dr. Gary McKeel. Dr. McKeel preformed an exam and took cervical x-rays. He found a misaligned/rotated cervical spine vertebra, which led him to perform a cervical spine adjustment. Dr. Stafford states that he remembers, “the sound that my neck made while performing the adjustment and the temporary discomfort that I felt. I was terrified as a child and never wanted to return. I thought something was broken.” Yet, after a single adjustment he was back to his healthy complaint free hyperactive self; playing, climbing trees, performing and competing in Martial Arts. As he grew up into his later years, he became ultra-competitive in soccer. He realized that he was able to physically perform at a higher level when he was getting adjusted regularly versus getting adjusted on an as need basis. He also realized the significance of proper hydration, physical fitness and nutrition, pertaining to helping him meet the physical demands of playing soccer at the collegiate level.
Dr. Stafford has been happily married to his wife, Christine Stafford, since June of 2009. Together they have two healthy and energetic children, Tucker and Sydney Jean Stafford. As a family, they enjoy movie nights, being outside, visits to the beach, hiking, exploring new areas, and living a healthy balanced lifestyle. Dr. Stafford ensures that his family has a healthy and well adjust spine!

Office Manager/ Certified Clinical Chiropractic Assistant
Emily Bonzheim
“When in doubt, love.” A statement Emily has chosen to live by and resonating presence she brings to Equilibrium Chiropractic. From a young age, she was driven to care for others.
She began her journey into the medical field by graduating with high honors from South College as a Certified Surgical Technologist in 2014. She expanded her role to an Operating Room Liaison, determined to aid in management of surgical case needs and patient safety.
In 2018, Emily became a chiropractic patient. This proved to be a life changing decision. After suffering for years with debilitating pain from a herniated disk, she sought chiropractic care as a last resort. With the pain gone, she found a renewed love of life that sparked her passion for the chiropractic field. Emily left the OR and pursued a career in learning how hands can softly heal the body instead of surgical steel.
She has been supported by her husband and two children in her drive to care for her community. They enjoy family game nights, dancing in the kitchen and being silly just about anywhere to fill their life with laughter. Emily knows that laughter can be the best medicine to incorporate into her family and work life. And when patients come to her with pain and doubt, she will love.

Christine Stafford
Christine Stafford graduated with honors from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a minor in Child and Family Development. She enjoyed teaching for 8 years. She valued her students and appreciated their trust.
When teaching, Christine believed that building rapport and providing a comfortable but challenging environment for growth was an important responsibility. She will carry this belief while working with individuals at Equilibrium Chiropractic. Christine did not receive Chiropractic care until Dr. Stafford started Chiropractic School. There she learned the importance and benefits of chiropractic and is now adjusted regularly.
She was born and raised in Winston Salem, NC. She met Dr. Stafford on the Wesleyan Christian Academy soccer field when they were just 13 years old and have been inseparable ever since. Christine and Dr. Stafford married in 2009. They have two children, Tucker and Sydney. The kitchen is their dance floor, movie nights are a staple, and loving each other through it all is what makes everything work.
Christine has supported Lee’s dream since the very beginning and is very excited to help him make it into a reality.
“I believe in Pink. I believe laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day. And I believe in miracles.”
